How to reach Pisa from Villa Aurora:

Pisa can be easily reached either by car or by bus. There is a bus stop a few meters from Villa Aurora where you can find buses leading to Pisa

The mythological origin of Pisa:

Pisa was founded by some mythical Trojan refugees grown on the Greek city of Pisa, in a valley near the river Alpheus (Peloponnese)

The artistic relevance:

Among the most interesting monuments of the city in the famous Piazza del Duomo, World Heritage there is the marble Cathedral built between 1063 and 1118, in the Pisan Romanesque style, with the bronze door of San Ranieri made by Bonanno Pisano and the pulpit by Giovanni Pisano. In the square stands the famous Leaning Tower, the twelfth-century bell tower, 56 meters high, whichbegan to lean ten years after its construction.

In Pisa one can count three leaning towers: the Leaning Tower, the steeple of St. Nicholas' church, a near the Lungarno, the steeple of San Michele degli Scalzi's church(the church is leaning, too).
